What?
Day trip to Whitstable.
We escaped the city (and the heat!) with a ladies trip to Whistable. The cool coastal breeze and a swim in the sea was a very welcome break from the prolonged record breaking temperatures in London. We set up camp along the pebble beach where we enjoyed fish and chips with champagne, and later on oysters from The Forge with a bottle of Chapel Down English sparkling wine from the popular Offy. Whitstable is know for its oysters so having a few was a must!
How?
Train or tube to London St Pancras then the Margate train to Whitstable (takes 1 hour and 15 minutes). The beach and town is only a short walk away from Whitstable train station.
How long?
A full days outing. A 1 hour and 15 minute train from St Pancras to Whitstable. I left home at 9 am and returned around 10 pm.
